Why is Jonny playing under his old team?

I was watching the FC Pro 24 World Championship to support our player Jonny, but when it's his turn, I realize he's still wearing his former team's jersey.

So, I was wondering if he has to represent that team in this tournament, or if we only have Jonny on loan for EWC, or if it's a "fusion" like with MLBB?
